The Lady Bucks lead scorer Willis #22 may have hit a dry spell only hitting seven points against the Hawley Lady Bearcats in the last game. However, Elizabeth Palacios #25 stepped up her game and contributed three, three-pointers against the Lady Bearcats. Camilia Palacios #15 had two three-pointers and a bucket and also contributing on the scoreboard was Nayeli Hernandez #5 with a three-pointer and a foul shot.

There were six three-pointers in this game because the Lady Bearcats kept the Lady Bucks out of the paint. Hawley had two girls that controlled the rebounds most of the evening because of their height. Willis #22 was only able to get a few fast breaks for a layup, but was often blocked under the basket. She did manage to steal the ball twice for a fast break, but only made three buckets and a foul shot the entire game, which was way off of her normal contributions as the lead scorer for the Lady Bucks.

The Lady Bearcats also kept Zaea Ragle #23 out of the paint for her usual inside shots in that area. Ragle also didn’t draw the usual fouls, which always gave the Lady Bucks consistent tallies from the charity stripe.

As a result of the combined efforts of the Lady Bearcats, the Lady Bucks lost this last contest 29- 38. The Lady Bucks played much better in the second half and were catching up in the fourth quarter, but the Lady Bearcats were connecting with their shooting. However, the Lady Bucks played much better than the score indicates. The talent is there. It is just a matter of make better judgements about passing and keeping the dribbles lower so as not to lose the ball.
