Lady Bucks fall to Holliday

Friday the Lady Bucks contributed to their own defeat by committing eight errors and then the lack of batting power with only four hits for the three runs scored. Meanwhile, the Lady Eagles of Holliday had 15 hits for the 13 runs scored against the Lady Bucks.

The Lady Eagles scored in every inning except for the top of the second. The Lady Eagles gained one run in the first inning, collected four more in the third, three in the fourth and four more runs in the fifth and one more run in the sixth inning to win (3-13).

The Lady Bucks finally again a run in the fourth inning and then collected two more in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Lady Bucks were unable to fire up any batting power in the sixth inning and the game ended with the 10-Run Rule applied and the Lady Eagle won, (3-13).

Chloe Whitmire was the losing pitcher for the Lady Bucks with only four strikeouts in the six innings she pitched. However, the opposing pitcher for the Lady Eagles struck out 12 of our batters over the six innings.

The Lady Bucks fall to a record of (2-6) in District 7 and a (6-9) record overall. They are back home on Friday, April 16, for the game against City View. The Lady Bucks will be home for the game against Jacksboro on Tuesday, April 20 and then will travel to Bowie for the last game of the season.
