Lady Bucks fourth quarter burst not enough against Holliday

The Lady Bucks got hot in the fourth quarter for 12 points during their home game against Holiday on Jan. 22, but it was not enough to clinch the win losing 29-55.

The Lady Bucks had a slow start in the first quarter, never catching up to the Lady Eagles of Holliday. The first quarter ended at 7-22 with buckets from Aimee Toliver #2, Kylee Willis #22, Nayeli Hernandez #5, Zaea Ragle #23 and a three-pointer from Nora Ramirez #24.

The second quarter the Lady Bucks were limited to five points, two from Toliver and a three-pointer from Jimena Palacios. The first half ended 12-34.

Willis and Hernandez contributed buckets in the third quarter and J. Palacios was denied an other three-pointer that rimmed out slowly at 1:18 of the third quarter for a score of 17-45. The Lady Bucks could not stop the Lady Eagles scoring of 23 points that quarter.

However, Breckenridge got hot in the fourth quarter for 12 points with buckets from Emily Welch #1, Camila Palacios #15, Hernandez and Reigen Robertson #3. The Lady Bucks had a three-pointer from C. Palacios and another from Ramirez. The Lady Eagles flight was too high to reach with Breckenridge losing 29-55.

The Lady Bucks had a Bye Tuesday, Jan. 26 and will travel to Jacksboro Friday, Jan. 29 to play the Lady Tigers.

The Lady Bucks will be back home on Tuesday, Feb. 5 to host the City View Lady Mustangs which will end the season for the Lady Bucks.
