The Lady Bucks volleyball team is getting set to play at home for the second time this season after dropping their home opener to Nocona in three sets, Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Dropping to 1-3 on the season, the Lady Bucks host Strawn and Perrin-Whit this Saturday, Sept. 6 in the Athletic and Fine Arts Center. The JV green team is also playing Saturday in the auxiliary gym, with both teams starting action at 10 a.m.
Strawn is the first team, then Perrin-Whit following the conclusion of the first match. These are also their final non-district matchups with district play starting Tuesday, Sep. 9 at home against Comanche.
"We struggled with small errors that added up. We got in our heads and did not play the best we can," Head Coach Latisha Clark said of the home opener. "It was first at home jitters, and we will be back ready to compete this weekend. District starts next week, so we get back to work on what we can improve on to take into the next game. I am working on getting the girls to consistently play to their potential. We are are very talented, we are just working on getting these ladies to believe it and see it."
Following the district opener Tuesday, the Lady Bucks then travel to Tolar Friday, Sept. 12.
