The Lady Bucks forgot their game plan from the Nocona game Friday, March 5, which they won (11-1) and lost another game that they could have won in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the Lady Bucks lost this one (1-4) in front of the home crowd.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Elena Arellano #11 started the inning with a home run over the left-field wall. Caroline Turner #7 followed her with a hardhit double to the right-field wall. Next, Emma Beauchamp #1 was out at first on a dropped third strike and Turner advanced to second base. Next, Ryleigh Cowan #12 got a walk. She was followed by Chloe Whitmire #2, who popped up in the infield, but the Henrietta player dropped the ball and Whitmire was safe at first with the bases loaded and one out. Jenna Stewart #9 hit a fly to centerfield, which was caught for a second out. Turner had already left third and was flying toward home when the ball was thrown to third base for the third out of the inning. A player must tag up when the catch is made and then charge to the next base. So, the Lady Bucks lost an opportunity to get at least one run in safely and maybe the next batter could have ushered in another run. The opportunity was lost at that point with the Lady Bucks down (1-3).

The Lady Bearcats scored another run in the top of the seventh inning and the Lady Bucks failed to muster up their hitting power in the bottom of the seventh inning and lost the game (1-4). That loss gives the Lady Bucks a record of (1-2) in District 7-3A.

The girls hit the road next week and head to Jacksboro on Friday, March 26.
