Lady Bucks prevail against Millsap, lose to Boyd

After a long drought of five successive losses in district play, the Lady Bucks Varsity Volleyball team beat Millsap in four sets: 25-21, 26-24, 16-25 and 25-23.

According to Coach Leslie Anaya, “In the second set, the Lady Bucks were down nine points with Millsap holding the Lady Bucks at game point. Junior, Anna Reaugh, served for the Lady Bucks with a comeback and they won 26-24.” There was somewhat of a letdown in the third set but the Lady Bucks came back in the fourth set and won 25-23 to give them their first district victory.

Saturday the Lady Bucks did not fair as well against Boyd. Varsity lost all three sets 4-25, 7-25 and 4-25. JV Green lost 4-25 and 7-25. The JV White was the only Buckaroo team that came close to winning a set, losing 6-25 and then 21-25.
