Lady Bucks split games in Dublin tournament

The Lady BucksBasketball team played in the Dublin tournament Thursday, Saturday, Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 1. They lost to Albany and Crawford and beat Dublin and Comanche. Their record is now 8-6.

Meanwhile, the Lady Bucks JV was playing in a tournament in Mineral Wells and won their first game 33-15. No other scores were available at press time.

The varsity girls and boys will be playing in the Lions Club tournament Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 6-8, at the Breckenridge ISD Athletic and Fine Arts Facility. This is a fundraiser for the local Lions Club that helps fund scholarships each year locally. There will be eight boys and eight girls teams playing during the tournament.

Meanwhile, the boys basketball is off to not as strong of a start, as they are curretnly sitting at 2-5, but have begun to right the ship, considering they dropped their first three and are 2-2 in the past week. They will also play the Abilene Hawks on Tuesday, Dec. 4. At time of publication, the Breckenridge American does not have scores to this game, but we will update throughout the week, as well as the Dec. 12 edition of the newspaper. The boys basketball team will play five more games before next week’s edition.
