Pride of Breckenridge Band places 1st in drumline contest

Breckenridge High School’s Pride of Breckenridge band brought home a first place trophy in Class 3A after competing in the third annual Lake Country Thunder Marching Percussion Festival held Saturday, Sept. 24 at Newton Field in Graham. BHS also won the awards for Outstanding Snares and Outstanding Front Ensemble. BHS’s band directors are James Wilhite, Michael Rivera, and Nathalie Wilhite. This year’s competition was judged by Gary Westbrook, Ben Charles and Michael Crawford.
