The Pride of Breckenridge competes in Regional Marching Contest

The Pride of Breckenridge competed in Area on Saturday, Oct. 26, receiving 12th place.

Breckenridge High School Band and Band Director Dane Richardson got a first division at the UIL Region band contest in Mineral Wells on Saturday, Oct. 19. With the first division, the band was able to advance to UIL Area B Marching Band Contest on Saturday, Oct. 26, at C. H. Collins Athletic Complex in Denton. 

The band and Buckaroo fans were looking to advance to the UIL State Marching Contest, but needed to make it to the Finals of the Area, and then place in the top three. Breckenridge missed the finals and were unable to advance to State, finishing 12th out of 23 schools. 

The Pride of Breckenridge will perform their Lights Out Show at halftime of the Breckenridge Senior Night game on Nov. 1.
