Sports camps training the next generation of athletes

The next generation of Bucks and Lady Bucks have the opportunity to be trained by coaches and athletes during a series of camps being held in May and June.

Buckaroo baseball camp

The Breckenridge High School baseball camps are upcoming next week. The camp staff will be the Breckenridge baseball coaches.

Camps will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. May 26-28 for incoming first through fourth grade participants and from 10:15-11:45 a.m. May 26-28 for incoming fourth through eighth grade participants.

The cost is $25 for incoming first through fourth graders and $40 for incoming fourth through eighth graders, with only a $10 charge for each additional sibling.

On-site registration begins 15 minutes before each session begins at O.D. Woodward Stadium and Dee Escalon Field. Checks should be made payable to Eli McLane, or registration can be paid via Venmo @Elijah-McLane.

Lady Bucks skills camp

The Lady Bucks are hosting their skills camp June 1-4 at the Breckenridge ISD Athletics & Fine Arts Center for volleyball and basketball.

Camps will be held from 9-11 a.m. for kindergarten through third grade participants and from 1-3 p.m. for fourth through sixth grade participants. Volleyball skills camp will be held from June 1-2 and basketball skills camp will be held from June 3-4.

Campers can attend one or both camps which will be facilitated by coaches and Breckenridge High School players. 

Both camps are $30, with a combined price of $50 if a participant takes both camps. Each additional child for a single camp is $20 and for both camps together is $30 per child.

Bucks basketball skills camp

The Breckenridge High School coaching staff are hosting a basketball camp June 8-10 at the Breckenridge ISD Athletics & Fine Arts Center main and auxiliary gyms.

The camp will be held in two sessions. The first session will be from 9:15-11:15 a.m. for incoming first through fourth grade participants. The second session will be from 1-3 p.m. for incoming fifth through ninth grade participants.

The cost of the camp is $20 per camper, or with two or more campers per family, a discount is provided. Cash, check, Venmo, Apple Cash or Cash App are accepted. Checks should be made payable to Brent Lucas.

The skills camp will teach basic ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting techniques and offensive and defensive skills and feature shooting competitions.
