Three of the four Cross Country teams from Breckenridge High School and Breckenridge Middle School took first place at the recent Hamlin Meet.
The BHS Boys team took first place honors with five team members placing in the top ten, led by Evan Moore on a three-mile course. He took first place, individually at 18:31 (18 minutes and 31 seconds), which was slightly better than his last meet time. Team members who followed him included: Camdon Escalon - 3rd, Braye Cantrell - 6th, Karter Smalley - 7th and Tristan Myers in 10th place.
The BHS Girls team ran a two-mile course and placed 4th as a team. Individually, Reigen Robertson placed sixth in 13:44 (13 minutes and 44 seconds). She shaved off a whole second from her time in the last meet. Mia Arreola followed her in 8th place.
The Middle School Boys team also took first place as a team on a mile-and-a-half course, with five members in the top ten places. Caleb Cameron took first place in 8:10 (8 minutes and 10 seconds). He shaved off a whole three-seconds from his earlier meet time. Cameron was followed by Alex Saucedo in 2nd, Carlos Alvarado in 3rd, Chance Stewart in 8th and Adrian Saucedo in 10th place.
The Middle School Girls team also took first place, with three team members in the top ten. Karsyn Smalley led the team and placed 4th, with a time of 9:47 (9 minutes and 47 seconds), on a mile-and-a-half course. Smalley was followed by Destiny Jamison in 6th place and Ruthie Valdez in 7th place.
