Last week, the Breckenridge Buckaroo Athletics launched an online fundraiser through Adrenaline Fundraising to help fund upgrades to equipment and facilities. The specific use of funds are earmarked for Breckenridge Junior High School girl’s basketball uniforms, football safety equipment, and possibly LT Cook and junior high gym upgrades, according to Athletic Director Casey Pearce.

A roller coaster of a season came to an end for the Breckenridge Buckaroos on Friday, Nov. 11. Looking to win their first playoff game since 2016, the Buckaroos fell short against the Paradise Panthers. The Buckaroo’s 8-3 season ends after a 47-7 loss to the Panthers in the bi-district playoff at Ponder High School. The Buckaroos were riding high as they entered the district schedule in October. After winning fivestraight games, the Buckaroos opened the district schedule with a 42-0 win against the Hawks at Iowa Park. Entering the following week’s game at Vernon, the Buckaroos were ranked No. 6 in Class 3A Division I and looked as if they could upset Jim Ned for a district championship.
