The website will be updated daily and will include a review and analysis of new trends and developments related to the spread of COVID-19 in Stephens County and other Texas counties. The website will also provide information on food banks, business loans and grants available to members of the community.

The website will feature links to Stephens County COVID-19 infections, fatal infections around the state of Texas, and hospital occupancy around the state.

“The idea came from talking to county officials, the county judge and county attorney,” Jay Marcom said. “We noticed people were looking for information regarding the virus and having a mask available in the case that the virus would spread. We will have signs at some of the local businesses to inform citizens of the available mask we are providing.”

The website is also looking for volunteers who are interested in helping elderly members of the community during the pandemic.

Citizens interested in a free mask can send an email to Breckenridgecares@gmail.com for a location to pick up a mask.
