The Veteran’s that reside at Villa Haven Health and Rehab Center was visited by the Store Manager of the local Walmart, Daniel Cortinez, on Veteran’s Day, Monday, November 11. Cortinez visited on behalf of the Walmart and it’s staff to present these brave soldiers with gift bags to show them appreciation. The men were proud to share with all present their Military rankings and ranches as Mr. Cortinez shook their hands and thanked them for their service. A couple of the Veterans were unable to make it to the presentation, but Mr. Cortinez with the assistance of the staff at Villa Haven made sure that each Veteran received their gifts of appreciation. As the gift bags were being handed among them, Cortinez said, “On behalf of Walmart we would like to thank you for your service to our country you are all appreciated”. The Veterans presented were as follows; Sgt. First Class Robert Wayne Beaird, Army; Corporal Stanley Wilman, Army; Areo Grapher Second Class Larry May, Navy; Airman First Class Ellison “Shot” Harkley, Air Force; (Not Pictured) Private Marrion Keith, Army and Staff Sargent Alan Smith, Army Reserves/Air Force.
