Breckenridge feels only a minor bump in economic COVID woes

Wed, 12/16/2020 - 5:00 am

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $790.3 million in local sales tax allocations for December, 3.7 percent less than in December 2019. These allocations are based on sales made in October by businesses that report tax monthly.

While many blame COVID-19 or unemployment for their losses Breckenridge has only had a minor setback for the month, but has done well considering the year. Woodson also brings a sparkle in someone’s eye with their overall improvement, economically. Albany looks like they have had some setbacks, but not enough to say they are beat.
