The Breckenridge Library is practicing the following procedures to slow the spread of COVID-19:

*Masks are required while inside the library and free hand-sanitizer must be used when entering.

* Stay six-feet away from anyone who is not from your household.

*All check-out items are placed in quarantine for 3 full days when returned to the library.

*No public bathrooms are available at this time.

*There is a plexiglass barrier at checkout.

Other options available in the library:

*OverDrive, an online eBook program, is available for free for all membership patrons. For setup information, call the library for assistance at 254-559-5505.

*With the assistance of two separate grants, the library has replaced all of the public computers. One computer has an extra-large monitor with increased font size for the visually impaired to use.

*Multiple computers and corresponding hardware that were replaced are available for sale. Call the library for information and pricing.

*Memorials or Gifts of Honor can be made at the library to purchase books with a special bookplate, containing the name of the honoree and the person making the donation, placed in the front of the book.

To become a library member, you must be 18 or over, bring a valid Driver’s License and two current proofs of residence. Examples are phone bills, electric bills, car insurance or voter registration. A current phone number is also required.
