Commissioners discuss new homes, fire department changes

Tue, 06/08/2021 - 9:26 am

Breckenridge City Commissioners met Tuesday, June 1 with one of the newest commissioners, Vince Moore taking charge of running the meeting, in the absence of Mayor Bob Sims.

Commissioners approved a change offered by the Planning and Zoning Committee, from a request by Billy Cook, who requested a zoning change from C-3 (general business) to MH (mobile home dwellings) for Section 7, Tract NE/4, for 6 acres in the Breckenridge city limits.

Mr. Cook reassured the commissioners that there would be no permanent structures on the site, but would be for all mobile units on wheels. The commissioners approved the change from C-3 to MH zoning based on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Committee, represented by Breckenridge Fire Department Chief Calvin Chaney.
