Congressional App Challenge deadline approaches

The deadline for students to register and submit their app for the Congressional App Challenge is Monday, October 19.

The Congressional App Challenge is where members of the U.S. House of Representatives host a district-wide challenge for middle school and high school students, encouraging them to learn to code and inspiring them to pursue careers in computer science.

To be eligible to participate in the Congressional App Challenge, students must be a middle or high school student at the time of app submission.

Students may register as individuals or as teams of up to four. No more than four students are allowed.

Students may compete in the district they reside, or attend school in. If competing as a team, at least half of the teammates must be eligible to compete in the district.

The competition is open to all students in Congressman Mike Conaway’s district from 6th grade through 12th grade, (non-graduates) who develop an app either alone or on a team competing within the district, in our online App Challenge.
