The Rotary of Breckenridge hosted Cody Dunson, the new store director of the United Supermarket during the Tuesday, September 29 meeting.

Dunson is replacing the retiring Lee Olson as the leader of the Breckenridge’s United Supermarket.

“I feel like I’m a smalltown guy,” Cody Dunson, United Supermarket’s Store Director said. “When Ray’s was bought out, about four years ago, I was a part of the crew that helped move things over. There was something about Breckenridge that was neat. I thought it was a great community.”

Dunson was born and raised in Vernon, Texas, and has been married for 15 years. Together, the Dunson’s have two children and have all moved to Breckenridge.

“I was asked about Breckenridge, and I remembered how much I loved the community when I was here,” Dunson said. “They told me that Lee was retiring in a couple of months, and to speak with my wife about the move. She was ecstatic and was ready for the new community.”

Dunson started working with United Supermarket in 2000, working nights for a year. He soon moved to the day crew, working in the frozen and dairy department. With patience and his work ethic, Dunson worked his way from assistant manager to grocery manager and performed as the assistant store director.”

Dunson is coming to Breckenridge with 20 years of experience working within the United Supermarket.

“We’re so happy to be here,” Dunson said. “I’ve been here for four weeks, and my wife and kids have been here for a couple of weeks, and we already love this community.”
