Roach, Durham elected to county/city positions

Kevin Roach and Rob Durham were victorious in the 2020 General Election for Stephens County/Breckenridge as election season is in the books. Citizens also voted in favor of a proposition to adopt a quarter percent of 1% sales tax for repairs and maintenance for municipal streets.
Kevin Roach (Republican) defeated Kathy Marcom (Democrat) to be named the new Sheriff of Stephens County. Roach received 3,260 votes to Marcom’s 251, and Durham received 999 votes to Gary Mercer’s 601 votes for the respective races.
According to the Texas Secretary of State, nearly 70% of citizens, 3,799 of 5,672 Stephens County voters, cast their ballot to vote.
