Civil papers served: 8

Inmates housed: 30

Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, proactive contacts, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, etc.

Oct. 29

A deputy arrested a 60-year-old male at a residence on U.S. Highway 180 East on a felony warrant for indecency with a child.

Sheriff Will Holt was invited to speak to the students at East and North Elementary schools about making healthy choices and saying “No!” to drugs. This was part of BISD’s Red Ribbon week.

Oct. 30

A deputy served an arrest warrant on a 70-year-old male for the felony charge of credit card or debit card abuse.

Nov. 1

Sheriff Holt was invited to speak to the Retired Teachers Association at their lunch meeting. Holt answered their questions and talked to them about phone scams, the jail ministry program, the need for increasing deputy and jailer pay, each patrol vehicle now being equipped with tire deflation devices to help end high speed pursuits, and one of the S.O.’s latest home burglary arrests and conviction.

Deputy Flournoy and Sheriff Holt attended training at the Wayland Volunteer Fire Department on the dangers of electrical lines, poles, and meters. This training was taught by the Comanche Electric Cooperative.

Nov. 3

A deputy made a traffic stop on CR 306, and the 38-year-old male drive was arrested for two warrants. The warrants were for disorderly conduct by threat and no driver’s license.
