SMH Foundation hosts Make Room for Art fundraiser

Artwork and sculptures filled the room as the Stephens Memorial Hospital Foundation hosted its yearly fundraiser.

The first-ever “Make ‘Room’ for Art” took over the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The hospital foundation asked the community to donate an item to be displayed at the Fine Art Center. They received everything from headbands to artwork, from wooden sculptures to a wooden porch swing. There was a wide variety of items up for auction on the night, several going for 100s of dollars. In the lobby, there was a raffle for a canvas picture of the capitol in Austin, along with some gift baskets.
