Interment followed in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Anita Rhea Brown was born on Nov. 21, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to W.C. “Sarge” Brown and Junior Staggs Brown.

Billie Sue was the second of five children born to Luther & Della Latimer, their only daughter. The Latimer family moved often in the oilfield business, mostly within Texas. Billie Sue was active in band & theater in school. She graduated from Albany High School & married Malcom E Offield in 1950.
ALBANY — Lt. Col. (retired) Ernest Dayle “Buddy” Fincher, 85, of Albany, a native and former County Judge of Shackelford County and a veteran of the United States Air Force died on Sept. 5, 2018. After a valiant two month battle with cancer, Buddy Fincher went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in Jesus Christ supported him in his journey and gave him great peace.
BRECKENRIDGE — Michelle A. (Jones) Berrier, 57, of Breckenridge, TX, formerly of Temperance, died Aug. 31, 2018 in Breckenridge. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at 810 E. Elm St., Breckenridge, TX 76424. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary. The daughter of Janet and Leroy Gollihar, Michelle was born Oct. 22, 1960. She was a 1978 graduate of Bedford High School, Temperance. She lived in Alpena and in Mathews, Virginia, before moving to Texas.

Gwen Hawley, 87, of Breckenridge, was born Aug. 10,1931 and died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 in Fort Worth in hospice care. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 at First Christian Church, Breckenridge.
Gwen was the loving wife of Tom Hawley for 63 years at the time of his death in March 2014. She was the last survivor of nine siblings. She is survived by her three adult children, seven grandchildren, and three and a half great-grandchildren.
James Lloyd Rinker, born Feb. 2, 1968, went to be with his Father on July 22, 2018, after a lifetime battle with epilepsy. James was preceded in death by his father, Preston Lloyd Rinker of Graham and is survived by his mother, Lucille Cowen Lunnon and stepfather, Charles David Lunnon of Breckenridge, as well as seven siblings. James will be remembered and laid to rest at a private family ceremony in Bryson.
Leon Sheinberg Socol of Atlanta passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the age of 92.
Leon was born and raised in Breckenridge. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943. Following his military service, Leon moved to Atlanta, Ga, to attend Georgia Tech. There he met his beloved wife, Frieda Feldman Socol. They were married for 62 years, until Frieda passed away in 2011.
