The first meeting about the Four Day School Week Pilot Program at Woodson ISD was held Monday, Feb. 11, 2019. Woodson ISD is a “School of Innovation” and is considering the new school week for the fall of 2019. If you are interested, keep watching the news.

Hope you are all well. Flee flu.

BTW, FYI, WISD students are off Feb. 15 and 18 this weekend (so kids, don’t come to school Friday or Monday, if you are a WISD student).

Hogs are everywhere, but on the decline. Talk to Greg Brockman of Texas Boars Unlimited. He can point you in the right direction of hog traps and options and possibly solve your hog problem. And, he has a competition for you individual trappers out there.

Stock show season forges on.

Claire Ellis placed seventh in her class at San Angelo.

Brody Mathiews is off to San Antonio with his heifers this week.

Goats may be traveling somewhere, but no one has called to let me know and I have been away at stock shows.

It’s the end of the fourth six weeks already.

My dad celebrates his birthday today. Braedon Mendoza celebrates this weekend.

The WHS OAP is presenting its play at the Graham OAP Festival on Thursday evening, Feb. 14, 2019. Contact Ms. Latham at the school for more information.

Yes. Spring break is coming.

The portables at the school, which are to become the administration and technology buildings, are nearly “married” together by Rosales Construction and looking very nice.

Basketball season has come to an end for the Cowgirls and Cowboys.

Track and golf are coming.

FFA has a busy spring planned with judging events.

Happy First Anniversary to Kelly and CJ Pate.

(Pssst. Romantics. You have one day left to remember your valentine).

Martha Brown has been transferred back to Throckmorton. Her therapy continues after her “break.”

Kay and Teddy, continued prayers sent for continued healing.

Christy Lester, we hope you are back at school soon. The kids miss you.

Please pray for Alene Forest, Matt Bomhoff, Ryland Roberson, Pie Brown, Frankie and Minerva Whitfield, Dale Deaton, Sr., Janice Davenport, June and Arliss Willingham, Greg Dunlap, Otis and Delora Hibbitts, Bruce and Keron Kinyon, Jeanie and Johnny Stoker, Novella Gilbreath, Lee Cannon, Vicki Sadler, Annette Harper, Dee and Carolyn Tate, Bill and Treon Thompson, Jean Brockman, Alex and Marilyn Dickie, Barbara and LB Atkinson, Linda Dean, Dr. Thora Thurn, Modelle Ellis, and Charlene and Odell Kite, Kelly Pate, Pam Allen, Earlene Bellah and Terry Armstrong.

Please send prayers for safety and for thanks to Kelcey Cruser, and all our military.

There was NO 4H meeting in February, due to too many stock show conflicts and too many valentine’s activities and too much flu. The next meeting is the second Thursday in March, when participation on teams will be discussed, and that is spring break week.

It will be here soon. The Second Annual Woodson Community Cinco De Mayo Garage Sale will be held from 8 a.m. through noon on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

May 4 2019, is WHS Junior/Senior prom.

Mayor Mathiews. We are ready for our “State of the Woodson Address.”

Have a great week. Happy Valentine’s Day. (Pssst. Romantics. You have one day left to remember your valentine).
