Five weeks of summer left for teachers. Six for students.

Let me know what you’ve done this summer! I know some have been or are going to Hawaii, and others to the lake for extended stays.

Margaret, Maxie and Robert went north to Wyoming, making several stops along the way and enjoying the cool when they got there.

Jack and Olivia are traveling to Kentucky and to Florida, so keep them in your prayers for safety.

The FBC Youth will be headed to camp soon.

It’s great to see Jeanne Reynolds out power walking again after her hip replacement!

The exchange students have gone home, and that is sad. Thank you to Meaghan and Mike Mickalson for hosting these students and bringing them into our lives.

If you were among the lucky ones and received rain this past week, cherish the smell, the feel, the refresh and even the humidity.

As Americans we have certain “unalienable rights.” We are FREE to practice any religion, to write and speak FREEly, we have the right to assemble peacefully, to petition, to keep and bear arms, for a speedy and fair jury trial, to vote, to be equal, and we are not slaves.

The Fourth of July is one of the times we can come together to celebrate these rights… these FREEDOMS. However you celebrate your 4th of July, please be responsible and respectful of those who defend our rights. Be aware of, and thankful for, our FREEDOMS and never take them for granted.
