The girls mile relay team of Kiki Buse, Claire Ellis, Elaina Harris and Hanna Miller heads to state this weekend. Hanna Miller will also compete in the Triple Jump at state. Hopefully they are hot on the heels of the other teams and not too hot in this terrible heat.

The plant sale was successful! Bought my plants just in time for them to gasp in the heat!

The FFA Awards Banquet was held Monday.

The WISD Awards Banquet is Monday, May 16.

The Awards Assembly is at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, May 19.

The FFA heads to Area Competition in public speaking, and degree checks May 16.

STAAR Tests will be over this week!

School will be over next week!

There will be a DOUBLE baby shower Sunday, June 5 for Mr. and Mrs. Dusty O’Dell, and Mr. and Mrs. Dillon O’Dell. The babies are due in July and September, respectively. The shower will take place at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church. Congratulations to all!

8th Grade will graduate at 7 p.m. Friday, May 20.

The Senior Class of 2022 will graduate at 8 p.m. Friday, May 20.

It was Teacher Appreciation Week last week! Thank you PTO for the wonderful snacks and meals and FBC for the soft drinks, and all the folks who appreciated a teacher at least once!

I had two tiny baby goats disappear for two days. We found them tucked into the base of a tree and they were alive and well! God is good.

It’s a great day to be alive! Even if it’s HOT!
