The girls’ team of Kiki Buse, Claire Ellis, Elaina Harris and Hanna Miller ran a tough 4X400 Relay and we are so proud they made it to state.

The Miss Throckmorton Pageant will be the last Friday in May.

There will be a DOUBLE baby shower at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5 for Mr. and Mrs. Dusty O’Dell, and Mr. and Mrs. Dillon O’Dell. The babies are due in July and September, respectively. The shower will take place at the First Christian Church. Congratulations to all!

Memorial Day is coming! If you would like to help place flags at the cemetery in Woodson, join us at 9 a.m. Friday, May 27. Memorial Day is Monday, May 30.

There will be a celebration at the Courthouse at 10 a.m., but be early in case I am wrong and it begins at 9 a.m.!

The Old Gym Theater is receiving a renovation! New paint, new flooring, new windows, new doors, new lighting, new stage lighting and clothes racks in the prop room! Exciting!

I had two tiny baby goats disappear for two days. We found them tucked into the base of a tree and they were alive and well! They have now disappeared for the seventh time. We have been unable to find them, but they show up in the mornings. We hope they continue showing up!

I finally saw the bobcat that has been stealing my chickens. As he grabbed hen #8 I ran up with arms flailing and screaming as loudly as my disappearing voice would scream! It dropped the hen and fled 25 feet, then sat down to watch me. Brazen beast!
