The Breckenridge cross country teams got an early preview of what awaits them at next month’s district meet when they took part in the Dublin FCA cross country meet Wednesday, Sept. 20 in Dublin. The Buckaroos’ varsity boys team took first overall in the meet with a score of 24 points. The varsity girls finished third overall with 84 points.
“This is the district course,” BHS cross country coach Donny Funderburg said. “We did not respond as well as I would have liked, but we get to run there again as we prepare for an opportunity to return to Lubbock for the regional meet.”
BHS had six medalists across four races, including a first-place finish by Kasen Ferguson in the junior varsity boys race.
