Bucks lose ball three times, get beat by Cisco at home

The Buckaroos could not get out of their own way from the get-go.

In a lackluster performance against the Cisco Loboes that saw the Breckenridge Buckaroos turn the ball over three times, including on each of their first two drives, the Bucks seemed dead in the water from the beginning.

Buckaroos overcome Comanche with late-game heroics

Resurgence was the key to the Buckaroos Friday night’s victory over the Comanche Indians.

The Breckenridge Buckaroos were able to right the ship and score 14 unanswered in the second half to win the ball game 14-7. This was all thanks to some late game heroics by quarterback Kevin Franco (5), who completed a deep pass to Aaryn Medina (6) late in the fourth quarter to go up by a touchdown, as well as stout defense throughout the night.

Lady Bucks win big in opening game of playoffs

Around this time last year,  the Breckenridge Lady Buckaroos were making their first playoff appearance since 2010 and were happy to be in the Class 3A playoffs.

This year, the Lady Bucks are looking to do something special and if Thursday night’s 13-2 Bi-District win over the Comanche Maidens was a sign of things to come, Breckenridge softball fans will have plenty to cheer about in the coming weeks.
Thursday’s win was the first of a best of three game series against Comanche with game two being played at 6 p.m. Saturday at Abilene Christian University.
