Stephens County adopts Second Amendment Resolution
By
Deonna Alford
The County Commissioner’s Court held Tuesday, Nov. 12, found unanimously for Stephens County to be added to the list of counties in Texas to adopt the Second Amendment Resolution.
This ensures the safety of the members of Stephens County against the threats made by Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke, or anyone else who may try to confiscate assault-style weapons. O’Rourke has been extremely vocal in his support of a mandatory buy-backs of assault-style weapons, especially after the devastating mass shooting that took place in El Paso on Aug. 3, 2019, and in Midland/Odessa on Aug. 31 this year.
