City approves petition for alcohol election

Breckenridge City Commissioners voted Tuesday, Oct. 11 to approve a local option election for the legalization of the sale of all alcoholic beverages, including mixed beverages, within the city of Breckenridge. The election is set to be held Saturday, May 6, 2023.

TSTC to build new welcome signs

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Welding Technology instructor Stephen Hope and his students have been chosen by the Breckenridge Downtown Development Council (BDDC) to weld four new welcome signs for the city of Breckenridge. A sign will be placed at each of the city’s four entrances.

Tax statements mailed

Tax statements for 2022 were mailed Tuesday, Oct. 11 to those owing taxes to Stephens County, the city of Breckenridge, Breckenridge ISD and Stephens Memorial Hospital District.
