Bucks make some noise with 3-1 finish in home tourney There was a lot of solid basketball happening in Breckenridge last week as the Buckaroos hosted a tournament over three days. After winning all three games in their pool, the Bucks faced a tough Munday team in the first game of their bracket play run to end their tournament.

Lady Bucks go 0-4 in tourney against top teams

After their original tournament plans fell through, the Breckenridge Lady Bucks found themselves in the HD Howard Classic Basketball Tournament at Lipan. It was a tough weekend for this Breckenridge squad as the team went 0-4 in their three games of pool play and one bracket play game.

Buckaroos bring home postseason district awards

Football season ended for the Breckenridge Buckaroos almost a month ago, but it wasn’t until recently that the postseason district awards were announced. Breckenridge’s district opponent, Jim Ned, had a small playoff run that concluded last week in the region semifinal.

Buckaroos pull together for close win over Steers, 49-45 final

It was a battle from start to finish when the Breckenridge Buckaroos welcomed the nearby Graham Steers to town for an early season basketball matchup. In a game that saw multiple lead changes and plenty of action, the Buckaroos hung on for a 49-45 win over the Steers, their third win of the season thus far.

Breckenridge volleyball, football earn team, district, state awards

Volleyball and football seasons have wrapped up for Breckenridge fall sports teams, and with the conclusion of the seasons comes the postseason team, district and state awards. The Lady Bucks’ district and state volleyball awards have been announced while the Buckaroos’ team awards have been given, with district recognition to come.

Lady Buckaroos drop games at Clyde, Vernon

It’s been a bit of a difficult start to the season for the Breckenridge Lady Buckaroos basketball team. The squad has competed hard in every game and had a few close contests that didn’t quite go their way.
