Bargain Box re-opens, new location
The Bargain Box began in 1963, as the brainchild of five women from St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. The women included Nancy Pitzer, Bea Walton, Cecil Tolle, Anna Kime and Gussie Holland.

For the entire month of August, the Rotary Club of Breckenridge has delivered meals to senior citizens in the Breckenridge community.
Wednesday, Aug. 19 - BISD School Begins Today
The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office was the winner of the Battle of Badge’s blood donation competition. The winner was announced during the Tuesday, August 4 meeting of the Rotary Club of Breckenridge. The club was graced with the presence of Colleen Horan, the consultant with Carter Blood Care.

The Rotary Club of Breckenridge welcomed three special guests from the Stephens Memorial Hospital District to the weekly meeting on Tuesday, July 28 meeting.
WACO (July 30) - More than 5,300 Baylor University students have been named to the Dean’s Academic Honor List for the spring 2020 semester. Amongst them is Lauren P. Satterwhite of Breckenridge. She is attending Hankamer School of Business. Students honored on the Dean’s List are Baylor undergraduates with a minimum semester grade-point average of 3.7 with no grade lower than a “C” while enrolled in a minimum of 12 graded semester hours.
