Fine Arts Center holds gathering for Portrait Society
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center hosted a gathering of the artists who submitted paintings in the Texas members only Portrait Society of America exhibit in the Main Gallery.
Gaye Sfkula, the Texas ambassador for the PSoA, was on hand to present the awards to this show. This was the first time this has been allowed in the history of the Portrait Society, which has more than 2,500 members nationally.

Reception held, honors given for BFAC juried art show
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center was the site of a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 21, for the 27th annual Juried Art Show.
The works of 107 artists from 26 states and Canada were chosen from more than 200 entries to appear in this year's show by juror Beverley Bowen. Bowen, from Trophy Club, is an accomplished professional artist, a signature member of the Outdoor Painters Society, the Southwestern Watercolor Society and is also a member of the Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society and the American Watercolor Society.
