The Breckenridge High School has begun the two-a-day program in preparation for football season.
A quick Google search into Breckenridge Buckaroo’s new wide-receivers coach, Tanner Crain will find unsettling information. But his story of redemption and setting the record straight will make his journey to Breckenridge worthwhile.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Breckenridge Junior High School welcomed students back for orientation on Thursday, July 30.
The first Booster Club meeting of the 2020-2021 season was held at the Breckenridge Athletic and Fine Arts Center (BAFAC) with the new AD/Head Football Coach Casey Pearce there to introduce his staff and outline his expectations for the coming year. He addressed a large Buckaroo crowd.
Head volleyball coach Kassiah Hudson was putting her girls through their conditioning preparations for the coming season. Hudson was helped by assistant volleyball coach Anthony Kelley and two brand new coaches in their first season of coaching, Kyrah Bailey and Heather Reatherford. Bailey is a Hawley gal and Reatherford should be familiar to Breckenridge folks as she is one of our own. Reatherford graduated from BHS in 2016 and has been at Angelo State University for the last four years, graduating in May.
The Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame board of directors has voted to postpone the 2020 induction banquet, scheduled for Aug. 10, at the Abilene Convention Center, because of health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 banquet.
The new AD/Head Buckaroo Football coach, Casey Pearce, returned home to lead the Breckenridge Buckaroos this season, with conditioning skills training first on the agenda with the current group of Buckaroos and a crop of new coaches.
The Breckenridge Rotary Club received insight information on the Breckenridge Independent School District athletic department.
